ANDERSON — Allen Milton Morin, 75, Anderson, passed away Jan. 22, 2009, at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born Oct. 12, 1933, in Cross Plains, Ind., the son of Ray and Lily Kelly Morin. He was the youngest of nine children.
He retired from Delco Remy in Anderson in 1990, after 37 1/2 years in production.
He was a member of the Lapel Lions Club and the Middletown Church of the Nazarene. He loved music, country and southern gospel, and collected and refurbished tractors.
He repaired bicycles, built model cars, loved woodworking and enjoyed birdwatching.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sabrina (Adams) Morin; children, Richard (Pat) Morin of Middletown, Jada (Steve) Conner of Fort Wayne, Rhonda (Michael) Lawson of Middletown, Jeff (Sue) Morin of Secor, Ill., Joy (Michael) Norton of Pendleton, and Jennifer (Terry) Young of Noblesville; grandchildren, Tony (Jessica) Morin, Brent Morin, Nathan (Shanna) Conner, Christen (Tony) Bordenkircher, Morgan Lawson, Adam Lawson, Taylor Lawson, Sarah Morin, Katie Morin, Jacob Morin, Andrew Norton, Karli Norton, Alex Moore, and Luke Moore; great-grandchildren, Sierra Morin, Blake Morin, Brock Morin and soon to be Baby J.
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers and sisters; as well as a daughter, Julie Renee in 1977.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Middletown Church of the Nazarene with Dr. Philip C. Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery in Pendleton.
Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Ministries of the Church of the Nazarene.
