PENDLETON — Master Trooper Rich Crawford has transferred to the Pendleton State Police Post from the Fort Wayne Indiana State Police Post. Crawford graduated from the Indiana State Police recruit academy in 1990. Prior to joining the Indiana State Police Crawford was a Maryland state trooper for six years.
Upon graduation from recruit school in 1990 Crawford was assigned to the Fort Wayne Post for nine years. Crawford has served at Putnamville Post, Bremen Post and two years on the governor’s security detail. He has been a counselor at the Indiana State Police recruit training school in Plainfield. In addition to his road patrol duties he is commander of the Indiana State Police Honor Guard specialty team.
Rich and his wife have three children and they reside in New Palestine in Hancock County.
Lt. Clint Bundy, commander of the Pendleton Post, said in a news release, “Master Trooper Crawford will be a welcome addition to our post. As an 18-year veteran he brings a lot of experience to our district.”
