John J. Sheridan

MIDDLETOWN — John Joseph Sheridan, 69, resident of Middletown, died April 24, 2008, at his home after an extended illness.

He retired from General Motors in 1988 after 32 years of service as an engineer.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Pam; children, Christy (Shane) Young, Ronnie (Chantel) Peavler, Kim (Chuck) Deweese, Jennifer (Scott) Wheat, Bobby (fiancee, Stephanie) Peavler of Pendleton, Steve (Julie) Sheridan and Katie (Bill) Cavanaugh; 21 grandchildren; and a brother, Hansel (Jean) Sheridan.

Services were conducted April 28 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 S. Fifth St., Middletown, with the Rev. Marty Ballard officiating. Burial was in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospital Home Health Care.
