Betty J. Powers

Former Markleville resident Betty J. (Smear) Powers, 78, Anderson, died April 29, 2008, at her residence.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Glen L. Powers, children, Kathy Keegan-Dishman (Cecil), Alan Powers (Beth), Joni Haley (Dave) and Michele Merritt (Mark); sister, Helen (Smear) Jackson; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life was held May 3 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Home Health Service (Hospice), 1894 E. 121st St., Fishers, IN 46037.
