Myrtle H. Simmons

PENDLETON — Myrtle E. (Hilbert) Simmons, 89, died May 3, 2008, at Rawlins House in Pendleton.

She retired in 1980, after almost 30 years as a secretary in the Engineering Department of Delco Remy.

Survivors include two sons, Robert “R.E.” Simmons and Alan Simmons of Anderson; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert G. Simmons.

Services were conducted May 7 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, with the Rev. Robin Wentworth Mayer and Dr. John Bunch officiating. Burial was in McCray Cemetery, Wilkinson.
