April 9, 1934 - April 28, 2008
PENDLETON — Jackie D. “Jack” Baker, 74, Pendleton, died April 28, 2008, at Community Hospital, Anderson, after a brief illness.
He retired in 1996 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors Plant 20 after 44 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958.
He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Jan (Duncan) Baker; children, Debbie (Mark) Saunders of Markleville, Ruth (Eric) Taylor and Ed (special friend, Marsha Barrett) Baker of Pendleton; sisters, Jean (Bill) Miracle, Jerrie (Cletis) Earl and Janie (Roy) Clem; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted May 1 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, with Pastor Hervy Lawrence and the Rev. Dwayne Stapleton officiating. Burial was in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
