ANDERSON — Registrations are being accepted for two upcoming Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification classes conducted by Saint John’s Health System.

 One class begins Nov. 1 at Saint John’s.  It will be taught by Brett Mabrey.  Classes will be conducted two evenings per week.  The full calendar will be handed out at the initial class.

 The second class begins the week of Jan. 11, and will be conducted at the Pendleton Fire Department by Darren Isaacs.  Classes will be conducted two evenings per week.  The full calendar will be handed out at the initial session.

 Tuition includes CPR training, the textbook and other class materials.  Following successful completion of the course, program graduates are eligible for the State of Indiana Certification Examination and the National EMT Registry Examination.  Application for the state certification is dependent upon passing this examination. This course is required to be a paramedic.

 To be considered for the program, applicants must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. All students must read, write, and speak the English language fluently. Class size is limited.
