ALEXANDRIA — Alexandria First Baptist Church’s Angel Food orders are due by Wednesday, Nov. 11. Orders will be taken during church business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Distribution day is Saturday, Nov. 21, from 9 to 11 a.m.

Whetstone bazaar set for Saturday
ANDERSON — Whetstone Christian Church, 5940 Madison Ave., will have its annual church bazaar with a chicken noodles dinner, and craft and bake sale on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Grile Building, behind the church. The fifth-grader at Tenth Street Elementary School is spreading the word about the “Pennies for Pets” program her school began last year. She’s also hoping the fundraiser expands to other city schools.

ANDERSON — The Anderson Public Library, 111 E. 12th St., will have a Super Science Sleuths Programs on Thursdays, Nov. 5, 12 and 19, at 4:30 p.m. Children ages 6-10 are invited to come and explore science mysteries. Participants can become science “detectives,” make some predictions, and perform some experiments to discover answers.

Pianist Phoenix rising at Anderson University
It all began at a piano competition, when Anderson University’s Randall Frieling and Indiana Wesleyan’s Phoenix Park-Kim were serving as judges. During their two days at the Hartman Stickley Memorial Piano Competition in South Bend, the two pianists tossed around the idea of performing together. That’s exactly what will happen Thursday night in the Fine Arts Building on the AU campus.

Pendleton wrestling club plans cornhole tournament
PENDLETON — The annual Arabian Wrestling Club Cornhole Tournament is Saturday. Registration will be held from 10 to 10:30 a.m. in the Pendleton Heights High School auxiliary gym. Tournament play will begin at 11 a.m. Team entry fee is $20. Grand prize is $100. There is also a $50 prize to the highest placing, non-winning student team. There will be a silent auction for a Colts-themed cornhole set.
