Jason Aldean to host Indy 500 pre-race concert

INDIANAPOLIS -- Jason Aldean will headline Indy 500 pre-race concert on Saturday, May 24 on the new Turn 4 infield stage at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The inaugural Legends Day concert will feature Aldean’s show, and follows a long string of sellouts for the multi-platinum star across the country including some of the nation’s most legendary venues like Madison Square Garden, Wrigley Field, the Hollywood Bowl and two-nights at Fenway Park. The ACM nominee and reigning “Male Vocalist of The Year” is kicking off the year hot on the heels of what was a career-defining year, most recently announcing his 2014 “Burn It Down Tour,” which kicks off May 1 in Roanoke, Va.

“Over the last several years we have continued to add reasons for our fans to visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway the day before the Indianapolis 500 to celebrate our current drivers and the legends of the race as part of Legends Day,” said J. Douglas Boles, Indianapolis Motor Speedway president. “Adding a concert featuring an outstanding entertainer like Jason Aldean is a fantastic way for fans to cap off a day of honoring our current and past drivers and get geared up for “˜The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” that will take place the next day.”

The concert will begin at 5:30 p.m. featuring up-and-coming country music performer Tyler Farr, who is an ACM nominee for New Artist of the Year. Recognized by country music fans everywhere for his platinum No. 1 single “Red Neck Crazy.”

Current ticket-holders to any 2014 IMS events are eligible to receive discounted general admission tickets for $25 or a VIP ticket for $40. Advance general admission tickets are $30, and day of show tickets are $35. VIP tickets are available for $50 in advance and $60 day of show.
