---- — Pet nail, microchip clinic planned

ANDERSON — The Madison County Humane Society, 2219 Crystal St., will conduct its monthly nail and microchip clinic and heartworm testing from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the shelter.

The cost is $5 for a nail trim, $10 for a heartworm test and $20 for microchipping. No appointment is necessary. Pets must be on a leash.

Li guest speaker on ‘Critter Conservation’

ANDERSON — Dr. Linda Li will be the guest speaker on Saturday’s “Critter Conversations” which airs from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday on News Talk Radio WHBU-AM 1240.

Li has been a chiropractor for 30 years and is a board-certified diplomate in clinical nutrition, a nationally certified clinical nutritionist and an applied and clinical kinesiologist. She is a product formulator of Alpha G (Alpha Glucan PolySaccharidePeptides), a whole-food nutrient that can help the body repair its imbalances, reducing pain and inflammation.

Li will explain how a product formulated for humans can help animals.

Winter Wine Fest slated for Feb. 22

ANDERSON — Tri Kappa of Anderson will host a Winter Wine Fest fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 at Toscana Event Centre, 1314 Broadway.

Guests can sample a number of wines paired with appetizers provided by Larry Peck. A silent auction will also be held.

Tickets are $25 a person and may be purchased online at www.toscanaindiana.com or by calling 317-796-0004. Proceeds will benefit local scholarships and charities.

Tri Kappa is an Indiana philanthropic organization for women. The Anderson chapter was established in 1904.
