---- — AARP local chapter plans March activities

ANDERSON — Anderson's AARP Chapter will meet for breakfast at 8 a.m. Wednesday at Perkins Restaurant.

The chapter's regular meeting will be at 1 p.m., Monday, March 10, at the First United Methodist Church. Speaker will be Benny Santiago.

Reservations are now being taken for the chapter's July 30th trip to the Beef and Boards Theater in Indianapolis, to see "Church Basement Ladies in A Mighty Fortress" and the Sept. 21-27 trip to Cape Cod and Plymouth Rock

Beach Boys tickets go on sale Tuesday

WABASH — The Beach Boys will return to the Honeywell Center in Wabash on Friday, Sept. 5, at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets, $29, $49, $69 and $100 will go on sale at 8 a.m. on Tuesday. They may be purchased at the box office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, by calling (260) 563-1102 or visiting www.honeywellcenter.org.

Art show, open house March 10

ANDERSON — On Monday, March 10, Liberty Christian School will host an art show and open house from 6 to 8 p.m. at the elementary campus, 2025 Hillcrest Drive.

Winning artwork entries from both the elementary and secondary students will be on display in the gymnasium. Current and prospective families are welcome to attend this event. Information sessions about admission, school choice and financial assistance will be at 6 and 7 p.m. with tours to follow. Application packets will be available at this time.

Introduction to memoir writing at the library

ANDERSON — Normandi Ellis, award-winning author of 10 books and certified applied poetry facilitator, will present “Things I’ve Yet to Say: An Introduction to Memoir Writing” on Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Anderson Public Library.

Ellis will help writers find their voice and tell their stories in a manner that resonates with them, whether they are just starting out or have been writing for years. The free class will be held in the Delaware Room on the third floor of the library, 111 E. 12th St.
