---- — Ernie’s a vendor at holiday bazaar

ANDERSON — Ernie’s Heart Pet Food Pantry will be a vendor at New Horizons United Methodist Church’s annual Gifts & Goodies Holiday Bazaar.

The bazaar takes place at the church at 611 E. 53rd St., on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Ernie’s booth will have a variety of shopping items for the holiday season and will be taking donations for the pet food pantry, too.

The Holiday Bazaar helps the Secret Families of Madison County.

Pet pictures with Santa Dec. 20

ANDERSON — Santa is coming to South Anderson Veterinary Clinic, 109 W. 53rd St., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20.

Bring your pets in for a picture with Santa. Pictures and photo CDs will be available for a donation to the Madison County Humane Society.

K of C hosts Santa breakfast

ANDERSON — Breakfast with Santa will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Knights of Columbus, 1225 Main St.

Price is $6 for adults and $4 for children. The menu includes eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, potatoes, assorted fruit, milk, coffee and jiuce.

All children will receive a goodie bag. They will have the opportunity to make reindeer food, color and tell Santa their Christmas list.

Take your pet’s photo with Santa

ANDERSON — Pictures with Santa will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at PetSmart, 4216 S. Scatterfield Road.

Cost is $5. Bring your own camera to take pictures of your four-legged friends with Santa. Proceeds will benefit the Madison County Humane Society.

Coalition hosts Scholastic Book Fair

ANDERSON — The Madison County Literacy Coalition will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair at Mounds Mall beginning Saturday and running through Tuesday, Dec. 24.

New children’s books will be available for young readers from pre-school through young adults. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 4 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Profits from the event will support the Literacy Coalition’s adult and youth literacy programs throughout the county.

Christmas concert set for Monday

FRANKTON -- The Frankton Jr. Sr. High School Christmas Concert will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the Eagles Nest Gymnasium. The groups performing will include the Jr. High Choir, High School Choir, and the FHS Show Choir.

While at the concert take the time to view student art work from all grade levels which will be displayed in the main hallway. The exhibit has been arranged by the High School Art Club and the AP Studio Art students and will include the artwork from all grade levels.

The Art Club will also be selling handmade ceramic Christmas ornaments to raise money for their annual field trip and art awards.

The public is invited. No admission will be charged.

The Choir Director is Brad Scott. Choreography is by Holly Stultz-Haas. The Art Club sponsor is Paula Balensiefer.
