DHS seeking members of '94 class

DALEVILLE — Daleville High School's 2014 Homecoming will be held Jan. 31.

The Class of 1994 will be recognized and addresses are needed for the following:

Jerrod Niemann to perform at Honeywell Center

WABASH — Country music entertainer Jerrod Niemann will be in concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 14. Tickets are now on sale.

Niemann, whose hits include “Lover, Lover” and “What Do You Want,” is no stranger to country music. He has written songs for the likes of Garth Brooks, Jamey Johnson, Blake Shelton, Lee Brice and Neal McCoy. His debut album on Arista Nashville, “Judge Jerrod and the Hung Jury,” produced the No. 1 song “Lover, Lover,” the Top 5 single “What Do You Want,” and the Top 20 song “One More Drinkin’ Song.” A second album, “Free The Music,” yielded the Top 20 single “Shinin’ On Me” and the Top 40 single “Only God Could Love You More.”

  • FEA - HB0728 - Fresh Orientation - SH Elwood freshmen learn the ways of high school through mentoring program About half the 112 incoming freshmen at Elwood Jr./Sr. High School got a jump on their friends recently by attending a freshman orientation session. Joan Mercer, an English teacher who helped organize the the orientation, said the mentor program, which has been in place for several years, has been effective in new students make the high school transition.
