Community Briefs: Dec. 23

Season of Hope in concert Dec. 30

PENDLETON — Season of Hope, featuring the bands Please Promise, Kickstart the Heart, The Perfect Dream and Follower, will be in concert at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at the Trinity Life Center, 5900 Indiana 13, Pendleton.

Tickets are $6 at the door. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Cooking class set for Jan. 11

MATTHEWS — The “Homemade from the Heart” cooking class on Jan. 11 at Epworth United Methodist Church, 105 W. Eighth St., Matthews, will feature “Sweetie Pies” — miniature pies on a stick.

This make-it-and-take-it class will be held 9:30 to 11 a.m., and the $5 fee covers all supplies. Pre-register by Sunday, Jan. 5.
