Fundraiser for Steve Brown on June 1

FRANKTON — Team Brown will host a Gospel Music Benefit Concert on Saturday, June 1, from 3 to 8 p.m. at The Heritage House in Frankton.

Organizers are seeking support for Steve Brown in his fight against lymphoma.

Entertainment will include Darrin and Jenny Haynes, Don Knots and Family, Jim Washington, The Gospel Seekers and Justin Pruitt.

All donations go to Aroma United Methodist Church Steve Brown Account, 16301 E. 281st St., Atlanta, IN 46031.

A freewill offering will be accepted. There will be prizes, food and a bake sale.

LivRite to hold Epilespy fundraiser

ANDERSON — LivRite Fitness will host a 5K run/walk on Saturday, June 8, at Shadyside Park.

Registration starts at 8:15 a.m. and the walk/run starts at 9 a.m.

All the proceeds from this event will go to the Epilepsy Foundation of Indiana.

Preregistration can be made by calling Stephanie Hartley at 649-5564, or the morning of the walk.

Living Water to host Family Festival

ANDERSON — A Family Festival sponsored by Living Water Community Church will be held on Saturday at the Anderson Town Center, 12th and Meridian streets.

From 3 to 7 p.m., free food and fun, and 7 to 9 p.m. music/service. For more information call 778-5282.

Soroptimist Club to meet Tuesday

ANDERSON — Soroptimist International of Anderson will meet on the third floor of the PNC bank building at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Speaker will be Cindy Poikonen, president of the Literacy Coalition. She will discuss her job and how it can help young women.

The June 25 meeting speaker, Terri Austin, will talk about human trafficking.

All women are invited to attend.

40&8 serving fish dinner May 31

ANDERSON — Madison County Voiture 510, 40&8, 1600 S. Rangeline Road, will host an all-you-can-eat fish meal from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 31.

The menu will include Alaskan Pollock, coleslaw, baked beans, green beans and rolls. Cost is $8 with carryout available.
