---- — Karate classes set at Millcreek

CHESTERFIELD — Millcreek Civic Center will present boys and girls youth karate classes each Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

Classes are for ages 6 and older. The one-hour class will be held each Tuesday.

Arrive before class time for registration. Family costs are $10 per month for one, $13 for two, and $15 for three.

Participants only need sweats or loose-fitting clothes. Teenagers and adults who wish to attend may do so on the same day and time, in a different class.

Classes are being sponsored by the Millcreek Center and Town of Chesterfield.

Spaghetti dinner fundraiser Tuesday

ANDERSON — Tuesday, the Anderson Area Children’s Choir & Youth Chorale will host a spaghetti dinner to raise funds for their Spring Choir Tours. Dinner service will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at Anderson First United Methodist Church, 1215 Jackson St.

Take-out will be available. Dinner includes spaghetti with your choice of sauce, broccoli, garlic bread, salad, a drink and dessert, all for just $6. The Chamber and Concert choirs will provide dinner music throughout the evening.

Tickets are available from any AACC/AAYC member, by calling 643-5621, or at the door the evening of the dinner.

Square Dance Club to host St. Patrick's Dance

ANDERSON — Footloose Square Dance Club will host a St. Patrick's Day Dance on Sunday, March 16, at the Rangeline Community Center, 1405 N. Rangeline Road.

Caller will be Jimmy Robison and the cuer is Don Brown. Pre-rounds begin at 6 p.m. and square dancing from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

This is a St. Patrick's Day themed dance so be sure to wear your green. The group dances the third and fifth Sunday of each month.

Library book sale Friday, Saturday

ANDERSON — The Friends of the Anderson Public Library will host its book sale from noon to 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, on the third floor of Anderson Public Library, 111 E. 12th St., Anderson.

Featured will be Spanish printed books, including children's books and gardening books. Also offered will be our buck-a-bag in the bargain section.

This sale is open to the public and all proceeds benefit library programs.

Legion riders host Bike Night

ANDERSON — The American Legion Riders (ALR) of Post 127, 4118 Columbus Ave., Anderson, will have a Bike Night on Thursday, March 20, from 6 to 9 p.m., with Sloppy joes and a Euchre tournament.

Sloppy joes, chips and a dessert with lemonade or tea is $5. Additional sandwiches may be purchased for $2.

Sign-up for the blind draw euchre tournament at 6:30 p.m. Entry fee is $5.
