Free workshop on Alzheimer’s
ANDERSON — “Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease: The Basics,” a free workshop on Alzheimer’s disease, will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Anderson Public Library, 111 E. 12th St.
There is no fee to attend the program, but registration is requested by contacting the Alzheimer’s Association at 800-272-3900.
This program is designed to provide basic information about memory loss that everyone needs to know. Typical aging versus problematic memory changes, an overview of how Alzheimer’s disease affects the brain, risk factors and information on obtaining a diagnosis will be covered.
Tenderloin dinner Saturday
FRANKTON — Frankton First United Methodist Church will serve a tenderloin dinner from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Community Room at The Factory, Eighth and Sigler streets.
Carryouts available. The meal will include tenderloin, green beans, baked potato, desert and drink. Cost is $9 for adults, $8 for seniors 65+, $4 for children under age 13.
Herbs topic of garden club meeting
PENDLETON — The Pendleton Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, March 17, at the Conservation Building in Falls Park, 520 Falls Park Drive.
The program will be “The Magic of Herbs,” uses of teas and oils, special demo of kinesiology by Jeyille Renee, master herbologist and naturopathic practitioner.
The public is invited. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.

ANDERSON — Community Hospital Anderson’s next Senior Access meeting will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, at Community Anderson’s Education Center, 1923 N. Madison Ave.
Patrick Matters will discuss the Veterans Affairs with Senior Check in services program.

Charity lunch March 17
MUNCIE — A charity lunch will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, March 17, at the Texas Roadhouse in Muncie.
Proceeds will benefit the YWCA of Muncie’s shelter for women and children.
Tickets are $10 for individuals and corporate packs, $90 for 10 tickets. Diners may also get carry-out.

Riverview Hospital hosts pain seminar
NOBLESVILLE — Riverview Hospital will host a joint pain seminar from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 18.
Dr. Norman Mindrebo, orthopedic surgeon, will share information on the newest techniques for joint pain and joint replacement.
The joint pain seminar will take place at the Renaissance Indianapolis North Hotel, 11925 N. Meridian St., Carmel. A light dinner will be served. The program is free, but registration is required. Register at riverview.org or call 317- 776-7999.
