---- — Lenten series continues Saturday

ANDERSON — The 2014 Anderson Area Christian Men’s Lenten Breakfast Series continues Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 217 E. Seventh St., Lapel.

The service begins at 8 a.m. and consists of a hot breakfast followed by a musical presentation by Common Ground.

All men, young and old, are invited to attend the second breakfast of this series. Total cost: freewill donations only.

Attendees are asked to bring nonperishable goods for the Christian Center.

Legion Auxiliary hosts fish fry

PENDLETON — The auxiliary of American Legion Post 117, Pendleton, will host a fish fry from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the post.

Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children and the meal is open to the public. There will be karaoke with Jason Bowman at 8 p.m.

Stookey addresses bereavement group

ANDERSON — Kent Stookey, minister of pastoral care at Bethany Christian Church, 1920 N. Rangeline Road, will conduct the next session of the Bereavement Support Ministry that meets at Bethany at 7 p.m. Thursday. The group meets in the Fireside Room of the church.

All sessions are free of charge for anyone suffering the loss of a family member or friend.
