Mason talks of bullying to Cosmo

ANDERSON -- Model Brittany Mason, who attended Anderson High School, tells her story on being molested as a child and bullied as a teen to Cosmopolitan magazine. The incidents led her to try to commit suicide.

“ I attempted to do so by drinking half a bottle of peroxide and taking a bunch of pills — any that I could get my hands on. I wanted to die in my sleep. ... I just remember screaming and praying out loud, “God, if you let me live, I’ll spend my life helping people like me.” Immediately I started throwing up blood and bleeding through my nose. At that moment, my life had changed,” she tells Cosmo.

Her story can be accessed at cosmopolitan.com and look for the magnifying glass to find the search function.
