Red Hatters gather Saturday

ANDERSON — The October meeting of the WOW Red Hatters of Madison County will be Saturday at Buca di Beppo Italian restaurant behind the Castleton Mall in Indianapolis. Lunch will be at 11:30 a.m.

Meet at the Applewood parking lot near the miniature golf course at 10:45 a.m. to carpool.

Church hosts cookout Sunday

ANDERSON — A Fall Festival cookout will be held Sunday following the morning worship (around noon) at The Cross Christian Church, 1521 E. 18th St., Anderson (in Irondale).

Frankton legion serves chicken noodles

FRANKTON — The Frankton American Legion Post 469 will serve a chicken noodle dinner beginning at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19. The post is collecting non-perishable food items for their annual food drive.

The Country Mile Band will entertain from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The menu includes chicken and noodles, mashed potato, green beans, corn and roll.

AHS class of '54 to meet

ANDERSON — A meeting of class members of the class of 1954 of Anderson High School will be held at Perkins Restaurant on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Plans for the 60th reunion, to be held in September 2014, will be discussed. The group is seeking email addresses of class members.
