Madison County Community Foundation opens 2014 scholarship cycle

The Herald Bulletin

---- — As the costs of higher education rise, scholarship support to eligible students becomes increasingly valuable. The Madison County Community Foundation, community partners, and thoughtful contributors are committed to helping Madison County students pursue higher education by offering a wide variety of scholarships each year.

A comprehensive chart of each scholarship and its criteria serves as a student’s starting point in the application process. The scholarship chart, all applications, and required forms are posted on the MCCF website, www.madisonccf.org. The first scholarship deadline of the 2014 season, for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship, is January 6. All other scholarship applications are due on March 11.

What you need to know:

• All applications are due to the Madison County Community Foundation offices (33 W. 10th St., Suite 600, Anderson, 46016) by 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 with the exception of the Lilly Application, which is due Jan. 6, 2014. Incomplete applications and postmarks will not be accepted.

• High School applicants must complete the FAFSA and submit a Student Aid Report (SAR) as a part of their application.

• Each scholarship has different requirements. Applicants should carefully review specific requirements for each scholarship.

• Questions can be directed to your high school counselor or to Sally DeVoe at 644-0002.
