Discovering glass art at Expressions in Glass

The Herald Bulletin

---- — MUNCIE — Beautiful and unique glass works of art will be showcased at Expressions in Glass. The exhibition focuses on a theme that dominates today’s art: the artist as social and political commentator.

Minnetrista and Ball State University’s Marilyn K. Glick Center for Glass have partnered with Ball State’s David Owsley Museum of Art (DOMA) to present Expressions in Glass, the second international biennial exhibit of contemporary glass. The exhibit is supported by Indiana Arts Commission and Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass.

“This is a great show with emerging artists from around the world," said Rebecca Gilliam, vice president of visitor experience. "What I am really excited about is that all the artists in Expressions in Glass were selected by the two artists that have work in the current exhibition at the DOMA."

Admission to this and other current exhibits is $5, members and kids under 3 are admitted free. The exhibit will be open from April 19 to Aug. 10.
