Good Friday worship planned

ANDERSON — Florida Station Church of God, 1045 W. 375N, will host a Good Friday worship experience and presentation at 7 p.m. Friday.

On Saturday, the congregation will host a community breakfast and Easter egg hunt. Breakfast will be served from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., with the egg hunt at 11:30 a.m. 

The event is free and open to the public.

Health Center to have Saturday egg hunt

ANDERSON — The Madison County Community Health Center, 1547 Ohio Ave., will host its fifth annual Babes and Bunnies Egg Hunt on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon for ages 2 through 8.

Liberty Christian to have benefit auction

ANDERSON — Liberty Christian School is hosting its eighth annual benefit auction, “Duck-Tacular,” on Saturday, April 26, at Mounds Mall (in former Sears store). Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

There will be a silent auction and a live auction with Dennis Jackson, auctioneer. 

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at either campus office or at the door. Food will be available from food trucks.

Impact Center to host stress management workshop

ANDERSON — The Anderson Impact Center is partnering with Intersect to offer a stress management workshop, "Your Raw Coping Power, Stress Problem Solving and You," on April 22 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at 630 Nichol Ave. (former Robinson Elementary). 

Topics include identifying the effects of stress, personal coping style, and healthy alternatives for dealing with stress. Snacks will be served, so RSVP to 356-9497.

Last chance until October for mountain oysters

MIDDLETOWN — The Sons of the American Legion will serving mountain oyster sandwiches Saturday for the last time until October at Middletown American Legion Post 216, 450 N. 10th St.

They will start serving them at 11 a.m. and continue until they're gone. They will also be serving cheeseburgers.

Markleville church hosting breakfast

MARKLEVILLE — The Christian Men's Fellowship of East Christian Church, 124 E. Main St., will have its monthly all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday in the downstairs church fellowship hall.

The menu includes pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, juice and coffee, with a freewill offering accepted. The next monthly breakfast will be May 17.

The church is handicap accessible.

New Jerusalem plans Good Friday service

ANDERSON — New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 2318 Sheridan St., invites the public to its annual "Seven Words from the Cross" Good Friday service at 6 p.m. 

Speakers will be ministers Alexandra of Antioch Baptist Church of Muncie; Norman of Trinity Victory of Muncie, Jackson of Greater Pilgram Rest, Muncie; Bryan Foard of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Marion; Watson of Church Upon the Rock, Anderson; Williams of Zion Baptist Church, Kokomo; and Johnson of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Anderson.
