---- — AHS Class of ‘52 to host luncheon

ANDERSON — The Anderson High School Class of 1952 is having its monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Rigo’s at Grandview.

The group meets the third Thursday of the month.

All classmates and friends are welcome.

Center to have mini summer camp

ANDERSON — The Impact/Excel Centers will have a mini summer camp on Wednesday.

The featured activity will be Ultimate Frisbee.

A representative of the center said in a press release that kids who stay active are more likely to be drug-free. Youths are invited to bring a friend each Wednesday throughout the summer from 12:30 to 2 pm.

The Impact/Excel Center is located at 630 Nichol Ave. Each event is free and open to youth ages 10-18.

Morey to speak at Exchange meeting

ANDERSON — Kyle Morey, president of the Anderson/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, will be the guest speaker at the Anderson Noon Exchange Club’s new officer induction luncheon on Tuesday.

Beth Harpe will be turning the gavel over to Michele Hockwalt of Anderson as the 64th club president of the Noon Exchange Club.

Officers and club members will be honored for their service and commended for the amount of service and fundraising they have accomplished over the past year. Most notable is the work of the club to provide programs of child abuse prevention in this county through the Exchange Club Family Resource Center located on 14th Street in Anderson.

The community is invited to attend the 11:30 a.m. luncheon at The Edge. Lunch is $10 per person and reservations may be made by calling 617-5912.
