ANDERSON, Ind. — Opening night for “Young Frankenstein” is even more special tonight, with a visit from a Mainstage Theatre alumna who went on to Broadway. Madeleine Doherty will conduct a “talk back” following the performance this evening. Doherty was last seen on Broadway in “Sister Act.” Other Broadway credits include “The Producers” and “Les Miserables.” She has also performed in many Broadway tours.

Doherty was involved in the early development of “Young Frankenstein” and recorded the demo CD as Frau Bleucher. She was scheduled to replace the actress playing Frau Bleucher on Broadway but the show closed before she was to do so.

Doherty also has many performance credits in off-Broadway and regional productions as well as in film and television.

There is no extra charge for this special event. Call the box office at 644-5111 to reserve seats. Showtime for tonight’s performance is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10, available at the box office up to one hour before showtime.
