---- — Park Place art, craft bazaar set for Nov. 23

ANDERSON — Park Place Church of God is looking for local artisans and crafters for the annual Holiday Art & Craft Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 23, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Park Place Church of God, 501 College Drive, in the Fellowship Hall.

The bazaar is open to all artisans, crafters, retailers, and anyone who would like to make extra money exhibiting and selling their products. Table/space is $20 each, two tables/space $35, three tables/space $50, or four tables/space $70.

Proceeds from rental of booths will go to benefit the 2014 Uganda Mission Team at Park Place Church of God.

AHS 60th reunion to be Oct. 4-5

ANDERSON — Plans are being finalized for the Anderson High School Class of 1953’s 60-year reunion for the weekend of Oct. 4 and 5. A mixer at Anderson Country Club will be Friday evening along with golfing Friday at Grandview golf course.

A Saturday morning brunch will be hosted at Trinity Episcopal Church and dinner that evening at Anderson Country Club. Letters have been mailed.

MHHS class of ’61 meeting Sept. 26

ANDERSON — The Madison Heights High School Class of 1961 will have a casual get-together at 5 p.m. Sept. 26 at Hoosier Park.

The group will meet across from the buffet and those attending may come and go and eat dinner as they please.

Fur Ball set for Oct. 4 at country club

ANDERSON — The fourth annual Madison County Humane Society Fur Ball will be Friday, Oct. 4, at Anderson Country Club.

The dinner/dance will take place from 6:30 to 10 p.m.

Tickets are $40 per person. Proceeds raised benefit the Humane Society.

Alzheimer’s warning signs topic of event

PENDLETON -- “Know the 10 Signs,” a free workshop on detecting the warning signs of Alzheimer’s disease, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Pendleton Community Public Library, 595 E. Water St.

“Know the 10 Signs” is a program developed by the Alzheimer’s Association designed to help people understand the warning signs of dementia. The program also has interactive video clips of people living with Alzheimer’s.

There is no fee to attend this session, but registrations are appreciated.

Block Party set for Saturday evening

PENDLETON -- This year’s Outfitters Block Party and Fireworks will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday.

Cost is $5 per person and children 3 and under are admitted free.

There will be food vendors (Sahm’s and Papa John’s), beverages (The Wine Stable, and Gathering Grounds Cafe); and dessert by Good’s Ice Cream.

Entertainment schedule is 6-6:45 p.m., Rising Gravity Experience; 6:45-8 p.m., Jeremy Johnson and the Bleeding Keys; 8-9:45 p.m., Williams & Co.; with fireworks at 9:45 p.m.
