Bethesda sets homecoming date

ANDERSON — Bishop Robert White and First Lady Freddie White’s 40th annual Homecoming Service begins at 7 p.m. Oct. 2 and runs through Oct. 6, at 4 p.m. at Bethesda Temple Church, 315 MLK Jr. Blvd..

The theme is: “Forty years on the wall watching God work.” Isaiah 62:6.

Church Women United gathering

ANDERSON — On Friday, Sept. 27, at East Lynn Christian Church, 522 E. 53rd St., at 9:30 a.m. will host the Church Women United Area 8 annual area gathering. The theme is “Yes, I Am My Sister’s Keeper.”

Cost is $7 per person which includes lunch; reservations for lunch must be called in by Monday.

Missionaries Day celebrated Sunday

ANDERSON — Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 1225 Madison Ave., will celebrate its annual Missionaries Day at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Guest speaker will be evangelist Edwina Smith of Greater Progressive Temple of Faith.

Revival set at East Side House of Prayer

ANDERSON — East Side House of Prayer, 1512 E. 16th St., will have its fall revival with evangelist Danny Williams of Fort Myers, Fla., Sept. 26 through Sept. 30. Williams has traveled the U.S. preaching and singing.

Service times will be 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Frankton church adds 2nd service

FRANKTON — On Sept. 29, the First United Methodist Church in Frankton, 109 S. Eighth St., will change its morning schedule by adding a second worship service. The new service will be called NOW: New Outlook Worship and is targeting those who are not currently worshiping regularly at a church or would like to worship in a different way than they are currently. The new Sunday morning schedule will be: traditional worship, 8:45 a.m.; Sunday School, 10 a.m.; NOW service, 11:01 a.m.

Pre-anniversary service Sunday

ANDERSON — New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 2318 Sheridan St., will have its church pre-anniversary at 4 p.m. Sunday.
