---- — Stop Bullying Concert set for Wednesday
ANDERSON — A Stop Bullying Charity concert will be held at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Anderson High School, 4610 S. Madison Ave.
The event is being hosted by Miss Indiana USA 2008 and model Brittany Mason. Featured will be recording artist Macy Kate and DJ Baby Chino.
All proceeds from the event will fund training from the Challenge Leadership program for staff and students, as well as the establishment of an anonymous crisis hotline.
Tickets are $5 and available at the door.
Wesleyan Church plans Oct. 2 dinner
ANDERSON — North Anderson Wesleyan Church, 1947E. 240N., will host a chicken noodles dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Freewill donations will be accepted.
Alexandria class will celebrate 35 years
ALEXANDRIA — The Alexandria-Monroe High School Class of 1978 is celebrating its 35-year reunion on Oct 4-5.
They will “kick off" Friday night at 7 p.m. by attending a Tiger football game, then Saturday evening at 6 p.m. they will meet at the Alex Bowling Alley for a 1970's themed casual reunion. Offered is pitch-in buffet meal, for $10.
If you were a member of this class any of the four years at AMHS and you didn't receive an invitation or if you did receive your invitation, RSVP to Cathy (Cooper) Stevens at 621-2210.
Chapman in concert Oct. 24 in Carmel
CARMEL — Steven Curtis Chapman will be in concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at Northview Christian Church, 12900 Hazel Dell Parkway.
Special guests will be Laura Story and Jason Gray.
Staff members to walk in fundraiser
ALEXANDRIA — Staff members of the Alexandria Care Center will participate in the "Walk to End Alzheimer's" fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 9 a.m. at Shadyside Park, Anderson.
If you would like to participate or sponsor a walker stop by the facility. All funds raised will go to the Alzheimer's Association.
Smith Family Farms open to public Oct. 5
PENDLETON — The Pumpkin Patch opens to the public on Saturday, Oct. 5, and is open every weekend in October on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. (During week by appointment only). There will be a corn maze, pony rides, playground, petting barn, straw pile, refreshments, entertainment and a large pumpkin patch.
Admission is $4 per person, children 2 and under free. It is located at 7137 W. 675S, Pendleton.
Church to host Saturday chicken dinner
ANDERSON — Greater St. Mark Church, 2232 Dewey St., will host a chicken dinner from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Cost is $8 and includes chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans, desserts (including pound cake and peach cobbler).
AMVETS to hold hog roast
PENDLETON — The AMVETS Post 26 is having a hog roast at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.
Cost is $8 per person for all-you-can-eat.
Proceeds go to "The Path Home," an organization of veterans helping veterans and their families.
Bonzo's Fun Zone celebrates anniversary
ANDERSON — Bonzo's Fun Zone (formerly Big Time Bounce) will host its two-year anniversary with a day of celebration and activities.
Owners Brent and Aurora Doster will host a birthday event at the business located in Mounds Mall. Customers and their families will enjoy discounted admission all day with activities and refreshments starting at 6 p.m.
Guests will be able to see the updated appearance, as well as new video games and prize machines throghout the store. The celebration will run from noon to 9 p.m. today.
