ANDERSON — Rangeline Community Center is renting tables for its Nov. 2 annual craft and rummage sale. Cost is $15 per table and $10 for additional tables.

Daleville community breakfast Saturday

DALEVILLE — The Daleville Lions Club, Sixth and Edwards streets, will host an all-you-can-eat community breakfast on Saturday from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Proceeds will benefit the Daleville Autumnfest and Boy Scouts.

Cost is $6 per person and children under 6 eat free.

The menu includes eggs and sausage, pancakes, biscuits and sausage gravy, coffee, milk and orange juice.

Car, truck, cycle show Oct. 19

PENDLETON — The Fall Annual Car, Truck and Cycle is set for Oct. 19 at the AMVETS Post 26, 939 S. Broadway St. The event is hosted by Sons of AMVETS.

Registration opens at 10 a.m. with judging at noon and awards presented at 1:30 p.m. The entry fee is $10. Top 30 trophies and dash plaques will be awarded. Door prizes, food and music throughout the day. The Indiana Blood Bank will conduct a blood draw from 10:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

The post is a smoking facility and no children under the age of 18 are allowed in the building.

Plant retirees plan breakfast

ANDERSON — Delco Remy Plant 8 and 17 Retirees will have a buffet breakfast in the south dining room at Frisch’s Big Boy on Broadway at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct.17.

All retirees of these two plants are welcome to attend.

Benefit ride for John Poor Oct. 20

ANDERSON — A benefit motorcycle ride for John Poor, who is battling colon cancer, is planned Sunday, Oct. 20. The money raised will help with his living expenses.

Sign-up will be from 10 a.m. to 12:55 p.m. at Third Base Pub, 229 E. 13th St. Cost is $15 for rider and $20 with a passenger. Biscuits and gravy is served for $3. Kick stands up at 1 p.m.

Riders will visit Halo Bar & Grill in Alexandria, Woody's in Lapel, DT's R Bar and Meadowbrook Pizza, both in Anderson.

Legion breakfast Saturday

ANDERSON — The American Legion Post 127, 4118 Columbus Ave., will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Price is $6.

Blood drive Thursday at Shenandoah

MIDDLETOWN — Shenandoah High School will host a blood drive from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, at the school's gymnasium.

The process takes less than an hour and donors are urged to have a light snack before donating.


Daleville car show moved to Oct. 20

DALEVILLE — The first Daleville American Legion car show has been changed to Sunday, Oct. 20 (rain or shine).

The show will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. $10 per car. Top 30 trophies; 40 dash plaques and a 50/50 drawing. There will be food, door prizes and music. Awards will be given out at 5 p.m.

Presented by the Three Amigos.

Auditions for Christmas show Oct. 24

ALEXANDRIA — Auditions for "Christmas at the Commons" will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Commons Theatre, 204 W. Church St. The show will be performed Saturday, Dec. 7.
