---- — Pictures with Santa Saturday

ANDERSON — PetSmart, 4216 S. Scatterfield Road, will have pictures with Santa from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. This is a fundraiser for the Madison County Humane Society.

Cost is $10 with the the Humane Society receiving half of the amount.

‘Christmas in Alex’ has events today

ALEXANDRIA — “Christmas in Alexandria” continues today with the following activities:

u 3:30 to 4 p.m., cookie decorating for ages 3-11 and 4 to 4:30 p.m. for children ages 12 to 18 at the Alexandria-Monroe Library.

u At 5 p.m., the holiday movie “Meet Me in St. Louis” will be shown at the library. The parade begins at 6 p.m., in downtown Alexandria with the theme “A Christmas Story” the movie.

After the parade about 7 p.m., the Alexandria Community Band will perform its Christmas concert at Harrison Square. Around 7 p.m., the Santa Claus house opens in Harrison Square.

Monthly breakfast at American Legion

LAPEL — The Lapel American Legion will have its all-you-can-eat monthly breakfast from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Price is $6.

Menu includes sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs (fried or scrambled), fried potatoes, pancakes, French toast, juice and coffee.

Holiday craft sale at Hancock Hospital

GREENFIELD — The Hancock Regional Hospital Guild will have a craft sale today from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the lower lobby of Hancock Regional Hospital.

Items hand-crafted by Guild volunteers will be available for purchase, including knitted and crocheted items, Christmas ornaments and more.

Lunch to be served at The Commons

ALEXANDRIA — Homemade chicken noodle lunches will be served Monday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Commons Theatre, 204 W. Church St., or delivered free to your home or business.

Lunches are held the second Monday of the month as a fundraiser for Church Street Commons Ministries.

‘Christmas Journey’ concert at Ball State

MUNCIE — Muncie Symphony Orchestra along with Broadway singer Emily Drennan and special guest artist Patti Drennan, Ball State University Singers and Department of Theatre and Dance will be in concert at 4 p.m. Saturday at Emens Auditorium.

The “A Christmas Journey,” a classic Broadway show, will feature singing, dancing and favorite holiday songs.

Cookie Walk at Orestes Church Saturday

ORESTES -- The Orestes First Christian Church, 17 E. Oak St., will host a Cookie Walk from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Cookies will be $5 per dozen and varieties include chocolate chip, sugar, praline, oatmeal, chunky chocolate, stained glass, cowboy, peanut butter, cinnamon roll, elephant, snickerdoodle, monster Reeses Pieces, and many more.

The event is being sponsored by the Christian Women’s Fellowship.
