New Lupus support group forms

ANDERSON — The Lupus Foundation of America, Indiana Chapter, has added a new support group in Anderson. This support group will be meeting on the third Saturday of every month at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital in Cafeteria Room 1) from 10 a.m. to noon. The meeting will be facilitated by Ruth Lawson.

The philosophy of LFA support groups is to provide a warm and caring environment where people with lupus, their family members, caregivers, and loved ones can share their experiences of coping and insights into living with lupus. LFA support groups encourage and accept people as they are, providing a comfortable learning environment in which they can develop the best coping strategies to reduce stress that often accompanies living with a chronic illness.
