---- — Tour coming to Madison Park

ANDERSON — Ernie Haase & Signature Sound will bring their “Glorious Day” tour to Madison Park Church of God, 6607 Providence Drive, on Saturday.

The concert begins at 6 p.m., with doors opening at 5 p.m.

Tickets are $20 through Friday, $25 day of concert, additional $5 for Artist Circle, and available by calling (800) 965-9324.

Greater Light Gives Back, Saturday

ANDERSON — Greater Light Church, 317 Marine Drive, will host its annual Greater Light Gives Back from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

No early birds, please, organizers said.

This yearly event is focused on helping the community with free school supplies and gently used clothing. (while supplies last) There will be free outside games for the children. Lunch combos will be available for $2.

Pendleton Garden Club to meet

PENDLETON — The Pendleton Garden Club will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. today at the Conservation Building in Falls Park, 520 Falls Park Drive.

The program will be a “White Elephant Auction Pitch-in.” Bring garden related items ($3 or more in value or homemade) wrapped or unwrapped to sell. The public is invited.

CHA holds weight management class

ANDERSON — Community Hospital Anderson will offer an eight-week weight management class, held on eight consecutive Tuesdays from Aug. 6 to Sept. 24. The class will meet at noon in the Diabetes Care Center, located in the lower level of the 1601 building, on the hospital’s campus. Cost is $75.

Instructed by a registered dietitian, the class will include an individualized meal plan and guide, virtual grocery store tour, dining out tips, weigh-ins and consultations with a dietitian.

Ice cream social set for Sunday

MATTHEWS — Epworth United Methodist Church, 105 W. Eighth St., will be hosting its annual Old-fashioned Community Ice Cream Social on Sunday, July 21, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

A variety of homemade ice cream, desserts, and other food items will be served. Inside seating is available for those who prefer air-conditioned comfort.

Musical entertainment by Sounds of Home, featuring gospel, country and folk songs across several eras of music.

There is no charge for the event, but freewill donations will assist the youth group with church camp expenses.

New Hope to host VBS

ANDERSON — New Hope United Methodist Church, 1503 J.T. Menifee St., will host Vacation Bible School from July 22-25 from 6 to 8 p.m.

This year’s theme is “Walk with Jesus, the Life of Christ.”

HHS Class of ‘66 to finalize reunion

ANDERSON — The HIghland High School Class of ‘66 will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Frisch’s on Broadway to finalize its annual reunion plans.
