ANDERSON, Ind. —
The Anderson University Chorale will perform at Park Place Church of God on Sunday, March 24, at 6 p.m. as part of its 2013 spring tour through the states of Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio and Indiana.
In its 67th season, the 53-voice Anderson University Chorale under the direction of conductor Richard Sowers has received national and international recognition as one of the nation’s premiere collegiate choirs.
The Chorale has performed in concert for several national and regional conventions of the American Chorale Directors Association.
Domestic tours have taken the Chorale to almost every region and state.
International tours have taken the Chorale to concert venues and church-related events in Germany, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, and Russia. In May 2012, the Chorale will tour Norway, Sweden, and Finland, giving nine concerts in 16 days in some of Northern Europe’s finest concert venues.
The 2013 tour concerts will feature a broad range of musical compositions including selections by Di Lasso, Rachmaninoff, Miskinis, Vaughn Williams, Erick Whitacre, and Dan Forrest. Additionally, hymn arrangements and spirituals and gospel selections will be performed by arrangers such as Moses Hogan and Larry Farrow.
