Ham and bean dinner planned

MOONSVILLE — The Moonsville Conservation Club, 3559 E. 600N, will serve a ham and bean dinner at 4 p.m. Sunday. Cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children under the age of 10.

The menu will include ham and beans, greens, corn bread, drinks and dessert.

Village Fair set for July 13-14

LAPEL — The Lapel Village Fair is scheduled this year for July 13-14.

AHS Class of ’47 monthly luncheon

ANDERSON — The Anderson High School Class of 1947 will hold its monthly luncheon on Thursday, March 14, at 11:30 a.m. at Perkins Restaurant, 5033 S. Scatterfield Road.

All classmates and guests are welcome.

Chili cook-off Saturday at Eagles

ANDERSON — The Anderson Eagles Aeries 174, 1315 Meridian St., will host an all-you-can-eat chili cook-off from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 16. Cost is $5.

From 7:30 to 11:30 p.m., Miss Sharlet and the Closet Rockers will entertain.

Proceeds from the cook-off will benefit diabetes research.

Red Hat Buddies to meet Thursday

ANDERSON — The Red Hat Buddies will meet at noon Thursday, March 14, at the Madison County Shrine Club, 2419 White St.

Co-hostesses for the month are Dawn Rousey and Janet Lawson. They will talk about their travels to Ireland (wear green).

ANDERSON — The Anderson High School Class of 1966 will meet for dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at its new location, Perkins Restaurant, 5033 S. Scatterfield Road.

MS self-help group meets monthly

ANDERSON — The Anderson/Madison County Multiple Sclerosis Self Help Group meets on the third Thursday of each month at the Birthing Center Classroom, on the second floor at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital, 2015 Jackson St.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m.

Talent show, dinner set at Lapel

LAPEL — Daybreak Community Church, 1219 Main St., Lapel, will host a talent show and spaghetti dinner at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 16.

Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children.

There will be cash prizes for first-, second- and third-place winners.
