Back-to-school haircuts are Aug. 5

ANDERSON — The third annual free Back-to-School Haircuts will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, at Anderson Zion Family Life Center, 2008 Rev. J.T. Menifee St., Anderson.

A participant’s hair must be clean. Barbers participating include Divine Stylez-n-Cutz, Culture Shop, Davis Unique Salon, and Better Days. Canned goods are being collected.

Vendors sought for craft show

ANDERSON —The annual Christmas Gift & Craft Show is planned for Friday through Sunday, Dec. 6-8, at Mounds Mall. Crafters, home businesses, churches, schools, and civic groups are invited to participate and make their products and services available to the public. Each booth space is approximately 8’ x 10’ or longer and narrower, as space allows. Booths rent for $55 for the three-day sale and open during regular Mall holiday hours.

Proceeds from the Christmas Gift & Craft Show benefit child abuse prevention in Madison County and is sponsored by the Anderson Noon Exchange Club. Direct questions and request applications can be made by calling 617-5912 or e-mailing andersonexchangeclub@yahoo.com.
