ANDERSON, Ind. — A compilation of community news as published in the Thursday editiion of The Herald Bulletin.

New Horizon plans rummage sale

ANDERSON — New Horizons United Methodist Church, 611 E. 53rd St., will host its annual rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. There will also be a bake sale. Bag Day will be from 9 a.m. to noon Monday.

Proceeds go to church ministries and missions.



‘Inherit the Wind’ auditions set

ANDERSON — Anderson’s Mainstage Theatre will hold auditions for “Inherit the Wind” this Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Ventral Christian Church, 10th and Jackson streets.

Stage director is David Whicker.

Performances are set for June 13-16 and 21-22.

The production calls for a mostly male cast. This is a dramatic play; non-singing actors are encouraged to audition. For those especially interested in a major role, have a dramatic, 2- to 3-minute monologue memorized for the audition.

All parts will be cast from the auditions.

Gospel Sing planned at Trinity Episcopal

ANDERSON — Trinity Episcopal Church, 1030 Brown-Delaware St., will host a Gospel Sing at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the church fellowship hall. The free event is open to public. It will be an informal opportunity to sing many beloved gospel songs and hymns.

Beth Tabor is organizing the event and will lead many of the songs.
