'Addams Family' ooky, spooky and lots of fun

(Continued)

A rich performance is turned in by the brassy Jennifer Fogarty as Wednesday; she balances a quirky romance with a deadpan Goth twist. Jesse Sharp as Gomez is a fitting find; he captures with his undying (or dying) love for Morticia.

Top scenes include a tango featuring Sharp, KeLeen Snowgren as Morticia and ghostly ancestors. The second act also includes a clever solo by Shaun Rice as Uncle Fester floating in air while singing a love song to a balloon moon.

As we remember from the TV show's theme song, this offbeat family is ooky and spooky. Likewise, "The Addams Family" musical is campy, kooky and fun.

"The Addams Family," a musical When: 7:30 p.m. today, May 15; 8 p.m. Friday, May 16; 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, May 17; 1 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday, May 18.
