---- — Pet Food Pantry in need of donors

ANDERSON — The next distribution date for Ernie’s Heart Pet Food Pantry will be Saturday, July 20.

Donations are desperately needed. Residents wishing to help may send donations to Ernie’s Heart Pet Food Pantry, 610 S. Scatterfield Road, Anderson, IN 46012.

To hold an Ernie’s Angels Rock food collection before the distribution date, ask your friends, co-workers, church members, etc. to bring a bag of food to your next meeting, party or get-together. Then call 425-5407 to arrange pick up prior to July 18.

Newspaper hosts blood drive Tuesday

ANDERSON — The Herald Bulletin, 1133 Jackson St., will host a community blood drive from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 16.

The Bloodmobile will be parked in the newspaper’s lower parking lot behind the building.

AHS class of ’66 sets fall picnic

ANDERSON — The AHS class committee of 1966 is planning a fall picnic from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday Oct. 5 at the Voiture 510 40&8, 1600 S. Rangeline Road.

Ham and chicken will be provided and those attending should bring a covered dish. Cold drinks will be provided. Buddy Patterson will be the disc jockey.

Eagles hosting Saturday breakfast

ANDERSON — The Anderson Eagles Aerie 174, 1315 Meridian St., will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday downstairs in the Mirror Room.

The cost is $6. The menu includes sausage gravy and biscuits, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, toast, coffee and juice.

Middletown H.S. alumni meal July 28

MIDDLETOWN — The Middletown HIgh School Alumni annual covered dish dinner will be Sunday, July 28, at the Shenandoah Middle School, U.S. 36 and Raider Road.

CHA offers weekly support group

ANDERSON — Community Hospital Anderson offers breastfeeding mothers a chance to share encouragement, concerns and experiences with one another, under the guidance of the hospital’s lactation consultants.

The free support group meets every Friday from 10:30 a.m. until noon and every Monday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. The breastfeeding support groups are a great way to meet friends and future playmates for your baby. Baby scales and measuring tapes are available to monitor your baby’s growth. Siblings are welcome.

The weekly support groups are held at Community Anderson’s Education Center, 1923 N. Madison Ave. No registration is required. For more information, call lactation services, 298-5424.

Orders for cookbooks being taken

MARKLEVILLE — The Markleville Centennial Cookbooks are now on order as the original supply has been sold out.

Names are being taken at the Markleville Farmers Market every Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to noon.

Two hundred more books were ordered.
