Revival planned at Fishersburg Wesleyan

FISHERBURG — Fishersburg Wesleyan Church will have a revival with Bob VanCise from Wednesday, Nov. 20, to Sunday, Nov. 24, at 6 p.m. each evening and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Central Christian to re-dedicate organ

Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 10th and Jackson streets, will host an Organ Re-Dedication and Concert featuring Randy Frieling and Martin Ellis Sunday, November 17 at 3 p.m.

There is no charge for admission. Freewill offerings will be accepted. The audience is invited to stay for a reception immediately following the concert.

The Moeller Pipe organ was originally dedicated on May 9, 1965, and stands in Central's historic 1899 sanctuary. Central Christian Church is grateful to Thad Reynolds and Reynolds Associates, Inc. for their loving, skilled and careful refurbishing and upgrading of the historic sanctuary organ.

A ramp and elevator entrance to the sanctuary are available on 10th Street. More information can be found at www.central-christian-church.com or by calling the church office at (765) 643-6957.

It’s just one of his many memories of the theater and one of the reasons why he’s helping the historic building. The Gaither Vocal Band will do a concert at 7 p.m. Aug. 14 to raise money and celebrate the Paramount Theatre’s 85th year.
