---- — Ameriana Bank to host free pet microchipping
ANDERSON — Ameriana Bank and the Madison County Humane Society are offering free pet microchip implants on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ameriana’s Anderson Banking Center, 1724 E. 53rd St. The event will also feature information on pets available for adoption, giveaways, and a variety of pet service vendors.
Free microchips are limited to the first 50 pets and one per household. A second microchip will cost $20, and households are limited to two microchips total. After the first 50 free chips are gone, a fee of $20 will be charged per pet, limit two.

Watermelon Bash dance, Saturday
MUNCIE — The Wreckled Tangled Squares are hosting a Watermelon Bash dance on Saturday at the Muncie Delaware County Senior Center, 2517 W. Eighth St., Muncie.
Dennis Clark will be guest calling with Keith Dishman. Cuer will be Judy Mouton. There will be squares and rounds from 7:30 to 10 p.m. There will be a snack table with chilled watermelon. A watermelon will be given as a door prize. No watermelons will be bashed during the dance.

Autism Support Group starts Sept. 10
MIDDLETOWN — Piece by Piece Support Group for Parents/Caregivers of children/teens on the autism spectrum starts the second Tuesday of each month beginning Sept. 10 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Meetings will be held at the Middletown Church of the Nazarene, 698 N. Fifth St., Middletown.

Izaak Walton rummage Aug. 23-24
ALEXANDRIA — The Izaak Walton Alexandria Chapter 106 will host its annual rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 707 S. Harrison St., Alexandria.
Food will also be available for purchase and all proceeds benefit the chapter.
