• Easter Egg hunt (for children ages 1-12), 6:30 p.m., Community Northview, 1515 N. Madison Ave.

• Flynnville Train CD release party, 10 p.m., Terrace Showroom, Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, 4500 Dan Patch Circle.


• Pendleton Heights High School senior art show, 6-8 p.m., Heritage Museum, Fall Park.



• Third annual Easter Egg Hunt (for kids 10 and younger) and family party, 9 a.m., followed by family Zumba class (for all ages), Catapult Fitness Studio, 702 W. Eighth St.

• Madison County Coin Club coin show, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., National Guard Armory, 125 S. Scatterfield Road.

• Bike Blessing 2014 Bike Ride, continental breakfast, 10 a.m.; meet and lineup, 10:30 a.m.; kickstands up to ride, noon, Wallace Temple AME Zion Church, 1518 Forkner St.

• Fifth annual Babes and Bunnies Egg Hunt, (for ages 2 through 8), 10 a.m.-noon, Madison County Community Health Center, 1547 Ohio Ave.

• New Life Apostolic Church's Easter Eggstravaganza, noon to 2 p.m. (for children up to 12 years old), UAW hall, 29th Street and Madison Avenue.

• Easter Egg Hunt, 2 p.m., Shelter House (for children ages 2 through 10). In case of rain, will be held in fellowship hall.

• Shenandoah High School prom, 8-11 p.m., Officer's Club.


• Easter Egg Hunt (for children 3 to fifth grade), 10 a.m., on grounds of Alexandria Intermediate School.

• Pay Less Little 500 bowling fundraiser for Second Harvest Food Bank, 5 p.m., Norwood Bowl, 121 Grant St.


• Egg Drop (for children ages 0-12), 12:30 p.m., Lapel High School Football Field. Sponsored by the River Church. Rain date: April 26.

  • FEA - HB0728 - Fresh Orientation - SH Elwood freshmen learn the ways of high school through mentoring program About half the 112 incoming freshmen at Elwood Jr./Sr. High School got a jump on their friends recently by attending a freshman orientation session. Joan Mercer, an English teacher who helped organize the the orientation, said the mentor program, which has been in place for several years, has been effective in new students make the high school transition.
