---- — Batting cages free on ‘Black Friday’

ANDERSON -- Dingers Batting Cages, 920 S. Rangeline Road, will be hosting a free-for-all from noon to 9 p.m. on Black Friday. All cages and tunnels will be free all day. No reservations needed.

There will be raffles and surprises to benefit Misty Eads’ kidney transplant at Mayo Hospital, Minn.

Alex church has peanut brittle sale

ALEXANDRIA -- The Greater Hope Apostolic Church, 1005 E. 6th St., is selling peanut brittle and all proceeds go toward the remodeling of the church’s fellowship hall.

Large bag is $4 and $2 for a small bag.

Shopping trip to Chicago

ANDERSON -- A one-day Chicago shopping trip will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7. Cost is $48.

The charter bus will leave Anderson High School at 6 a.m. and return around 11 p.m.
