Mini-trees, wreaths auction at The Edge
ANDERSON — The Anderson Noon Exchange Club will have its annual mini-Christmas trees and wreaths auction luncheon at 11 a.m. today at The Edge.
Auctioneer Perry Knox will auction approximately 75 decorated 2-foot Christmas trees and 12-to -24-inch holiday wreaths along with an array of seasonal centerpieces, table accents and other holiday decorations.
Money raised will be used to support child abuse prevention programs in Madison County sponsored by the Noon Exchange Club.
Women’s League meeting Wednesday
ANDERSON — The Anderson Center For The Arts Women’s League will hold its monthly meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Center at 32 W. 10th St.
Refreshments will be served right before the business part of the meeting. Art historian Celia Burns will present “Churchill The Artist.” The meeting is open to all members, those interested in becoming a member and the general public at no cost.

Symphony Friends host fundraiser
ANDERSON — The Anderson Symphony Orchestra Friends will be having a fundraising dinner at Garfield’s Restaurant from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Garfield’s will donate 10 percent of the evening’s food sales to the local service group. This includes both dine-in and carryout sales.
ASO Friends is a group of community volunteers dedicated to the active support of the Anderson Symphony Orchestra through fundraising and volunteer assistance.

Legion Auxiliary selling holiday nuts
MIDDLETOWN — The American Legion Post 216 of Middletown Ladies Auxiliary are selling holiday nuts at the post, 450 N. 10th St.
DAR meeting set for Wednesday
ANDERSON — The Kikthawenund Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will meet 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, 230 W. Ninth St.
The program “Colonial Christmas at the DAR Museum” will be presented by Evelyn K. Davis, DAR Museum correspondent docent in training.
