Summit Lake SP egg hunt Saturday

NEW CASTLE — The public is invited to participate in the Summit Lake State Park Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 30, at 1 p.m.

Participants should meet at the camp office by 1 p.m. Age groups will be 1-4, 5-8, and 9-14 years old, and there will be a grand prize for each age group.

The standard $5 per vehicle entrance fee for Indiana residents and $7 per vehicle non-residents entrance fee will be in effect.

Community breakfast and Easter Egg hunt

ANDERSON — A community pancake and sausage breakfast will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Florida Station Church of God, 1045 W. 375N.

An Easter egg hunt will follow at 10:30 a.m. for children in grades 6 and under.

Registration set for training class

ANDERSON — HIS Solutions Healthcare’s April community certified nursing assistant training class registration and orientation is Wednesda, March 27, from 5:30 until 9 p.m. at 1010 W. Eighth St., Suite 3. All interested parties for the April class must attend this mandatory registration and orientation session. For information, call 765-393-3457.

Sam Bartlett making special appearance

NEW CASTLE — New Castle-Henry County Public Library welcomes stuntologist Sam Bartlett at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30, in the library’s auditorium.

“Stuntology” will include an array of physical impossibilities and absurdities that can be wrought with everyday objects. Bartlett is an author and science whiz who will coax horrible sounds out of straws, make forks float, napkins balance, and paper expand. After his demonstrations, the audience can participate.

Roosevelt alumni   to have breakfast

ANDERSON — Former students of Roosevelt School meet for breakfast at 8 a.m. at Perkins Restaurant the last Wednesday of each month. The next gathering is Wednesday, March 27.

Easter Egg hunt set for Saturday

ANDERSON — First Baptist Church, 907 N. Raible Ave., is having an Easter Egg hunt at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, for children ages 2 to 12. Bags will be provided.

Wilkinson UMC sets Good Friday service

WILKINSON — Shirley-Wilkinson Community United Methodist Church will host a Community Good Friday Service at 7 p.m. March 29.

The pastor of Wilkinson Church of Christ, Ryan McCarty, will deliver the message.

McLaughlin to be at Good Friday service

ANDERSON — Madison Park Church of God will host recording artist and worship leader Sarah McLaughlin for a Good Friday service at 6 p.m. March 29.

McLaughlin’s jazz-inspired sounds creates an eclectic tapestry of Christ’s love and compassion, organizers said in a press release. Admission is free.
