US composers featured in Paramount show

ANDERSON, Ind. — American composers will be featured when the Lyric Opera Theatre of Indiana returns to The Paramount Theatre.

The program, “Made in America,” will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 14.

Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door. Call 642-1234 for more information.

Lyric Opera Theatre will present this American music in English, and not just by American singers, but by LOTI’s Hoosier singers.

The artists from LOTI who will appear in Anderson are mezzo-soprano Erica L. Koehring, tenors Thomas Brown, Stewart Cramer, and Stephen Roger Kitts II, and bass-baritone Eric Wickens. The accompanist will be Charles Manning.

Lyric Opera Theatre of Indiana is a 501 (c ) (3) non-profit organization that was organized for the purposes of developing artists and audiences for classical music in Indiana and its surrounding areas.

Its mission is to create opportunities for singers in Indiana to perform, as well as bringing music to areas currently underserved by larger musical organizations. Each year, LOTI performs for new communities and returns to others. While LOTI performances have an emphasis on classical music, the exact programming for a specific performance will always be determined by the preferences of the community and the availability of particular artists.

More information about LOTI is available online.
