Hospital to assist in health care sign-up

ANDERSON — As Indiana’s Health Insurance Marketplace opened Oct. 1, Community Hospital Anderson is working to assist the community with their health insurance applications and answer questions. The hospital will hold enrollment events, where financial counselors will be available to assist patrons with signup. There is no cost to attend, and registration is not required.

Enrollment Sessions will also be held at Community Hospital Anderson’s Education Center, 1923 N. Madison Ave., Anderson, on the following dates:

• Tuesday, Oct. 15, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.• Wednesday Oct. 16, 6 – 8 p.m.• Tuesday Oct. 29, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.• Tuesday Nov. 5, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.• Tuesday Nov. 26, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Pork chops to be served at Legion

ANDERSON — The American Legion Post 127, 4118 Columbus Ave., will have a pork chop dinner on Thursday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Cost is $8. Carryouts are available.

Beef & Boards schedules 'CATS' audition

INDIANAPOLIS – Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre will have an audition for adults over the age of 18 for its 2014 production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber classic "CATS."

The audition on Saturday, Oct. 26, will be by appointment only. Auditions are for both men and women who can both sing and dance.

Rehearsals begin Jan. 24, with performances Feb. 6 through March 30.

To schedule an audition, send a current picture and resume to Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre, Attn: Eddie Curry – Local CATS Audition, 9301 N. Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN 46268.

Those wishing to audition to should prepare their best 16 to 24 bars of two contrasting vocal selections. All positions are paid.

Foundation has scholarship available

PENDLETON — The South Madison Community Foundation is looking for non-traditional adult students pursuing vocational or technical skill degrees or certification. Students may be eligible to apply for the Jack and Helen Hobbs Career Advancement Scholarship.

This scholarship helps with course-related expenses. If you live in Fall Creek Township of Madison County and are either enrolled or planning to enroll in an educational program to enhance your skills, visit the Foundation’s website at www.southmadisonfoundation.org for the scholarship application. Applications are due Oct. 31.
