WASHINGTON — School kids and business people who start with a new company often worry about showing up in the wrong classroom or meeting.
It can happen to a veteran U.S. senator, too.
After Hoosier Sen. Dan Coats caused confusion by questioning the undersecretary of treasury for terrorism and financial intelligence at an appropriations hearing Wednesday, a staffer informed Coats he was in the wrong hearing room.
Coats, who later joked about the mistake on his Twitter account, was supposed to be in a hearing room down the hall later in the afternoon.
