Roahrig injured in practice at Anderson Speedway

ANDERSON – Mishawaka driver Tyler Roahrig suffered injuries in a practice crash for the Anderson Properties 125 CRA Super Series race a Anderson Speedway on Friday.

Roahrig, 23, was turning his first practice laps when the throttle stuck on his super late model going down the back straight and his car made contact with the Turn three safety barrels.

The Anderson Speedway safety crew was immediately on the scene and contacted the Anderson Fire Department for assistance to remove Roahrig from his damaged race car.

Roahrig was alert and talking to the safety crew the entire time. He complained to pain to his left arm and legs.

Roahrig told the safety crews the throttle stuck in his car.

He was transported by air ambulance to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
