Mount Pilgrim hosts breakfast, workshop

ANDERSON — Mount Pilgrim Church, 615 Henry St., is hosting a workshop at 9 a.m. today. Breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. and the workshop begins at 9:30 a.m.

“Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs” is the subject, with Robert S. Brinkerhoff, Ph.D., of Indiana Psychologist Health Services as facilitator.

Are you aware that our needs often dictate our actions? Having biological, physiological, and relational needs is the core of our being.

Everyone is welcome.

Conference planned at Restoration Fellowship Ministries

ANDERSON — Prophetess Desion Hunter presents Daughters of Destiny and Rubies and Pearls Conference on April 5 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The conference will be at the Restoration Fellowship Ministries, 1207 W. Ninth St.

Continental breakfast and lunch will be served.

Brass band, music featured at concert

ANDERSON — First United Methodist Church, 12th and Jackson streets, invites the community to join Alpha Brass and guest organist Susan Finger at a concert featuring traditional brass band and brass choir music at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Selections will include the "Organ Symphony" by Saint-Saens, "All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name," "Process to Covenant," "Shipston Prelude" and others.

The concert will take place in the sanctuary.

    Nine-year-old Skylar King was not a volunteer or even a member of Greater Light Church, which Saturday gave away free school supplies, clothing and food during its annual Greater Light Gives Back event. The boy had played games to win tokens, and then he used them to buy each binder, saying he was giving his prizes away because he wanted to help other people.
