Fields of Faith event set for Oct. 9

MUNCIE — This year's Fellowship of Christian Athletes Fields of Faith event will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Muncie Central Fieldhouse.

In 2012, more than 3,200 people poured into that historic gym to be part of the excitement. FCA huddle groups, church youth groups, home school students, and community supporters all came together to be led in worship by the FCA worship band and to hear testimonies and messages from high school students from all over East Central Indiana.

This year's FCA worship band and crew will have students from four counties and total of 13 schools including: Blackford County, Jay County, The White River Homeschool co-op, Anderson Christian School, Heritage Hall, Delta, Wes-Del, Muncie Central, Muncie Southside, Muncie Burris, Wapahani, Cowan and Yorktown.

The student speakers will be from Delaware, Jay, Blackford, and Madison counties: Austin Shaner of the White River Home school co-op in Anderson; Sara Whitesel of Blackford County High School; Olivia Miller of Burris High School; Abigail Johnson of Jay County High School; and Brooke Hulsizer of Yorktown High School.

This year's closing adult speaker will be Jeff Mosier, FCA of East Central Indiana area representative.
